Domizil Via Claudia is part of the old village school, built in 1818 by the former owner of the castle of Unterdiessen, Graf von Schenk.
The holiday house is designed as a house-within-a-house. It was integrated into the existing shell of the building several years ago according to environment-friendly building principles. Only natural materials such as lambs' wool and cork sheeting were used to insulate the building.
The Holiday House has its own, very unique atmosphere and nostalgic flair.
The rooms are spread over several levels or galleries.
The almost 200-year old hand-hewn original beams have been exposed throughout.
The holiday house is peacefully located at the southern end of the village of Unterdiessen: a small road ends just behind the house. Partially tarmacked roads and cycle paths lead directly from the house into woods and meadows.
The famous Roman Via Claudia Augusta between Schongau and Landsberg not far from the house.
